Yard waste collection is every Wednesday by request only. Call our office no later than 4PM Tuesday to have the request put in for Wednesday. Yard debris cannot be mixed with household garbage, it must be bagged, bundled, or tied up for easy lifting. Yard waste may not exceed 50 lbs. If heavier it will not be picked up. Limbs cannot be longer than 3 feet in length and 3 inches in diameter. Yard waste is vegetation that grows in the yard. This cannot be mixed with any metal, plastic or foreign matter. This material is ground into mulch at the landfill and is reused. No boards or building material. Call Wilkes Road Landfill for further questions of acceptable waste. (910)-486-0839

We accept the following recyclables: paper, newspapers, magazines, catalogs, office paper, books, corrugated cardboard, mail, LDPE film, PET and steel banding, pallets, plastic containers as well as other plastics, aluminum cans, steel cans, and glass containers of residential type.

Our trucks are only equipped to haul normal residential trash. If you have TVs, furniture or other household items please donate any usable items to a our local charities. For other items, please contact a junk removal professional

No oils, paints, toxins, chlorine, flammable materials, hot coals or ashes, bricks, concrete, car batteries, tires or rocks. Customers putting building material in trash are subject to fines. Oil/paint can be picked up if put in a container with cat litter or speedy dry to absorb the oil/paint.
